Oshkosh, Wis.— Continental Girbau Inc. (Continental) just unleashed the new ProfitPlus™ vended control —now standard on all ExpressWash™, MG- and M-Series Washer-Extractors. The new control is greatly enhanced over Continental’s previous vended control, which was among the industry’s most flexible, according to Continental Vice President Joel Jorgensen. The ProfitPlus Control is also available as an upgrade kit for older model ExpressWash, MG- and M-Series Washers.
“The Continental Vended Control has been among the most programmable and flexible on the market,” said Jorgensen. “It allowed the storeowner to program washers for heightened efficiency and profitability, by controlling water levels, temperatures, cycle times and time-of-day pricing. The new ProfitPlus™ Control is even better.”
The ProfitPlus Control—which works seamlessly with card technology or coins —brings more washing options and cycle features to the customer, along with added storeowner programmability.
ProfitPlus offers four primary cycle options: SUPERWASH, an extra-long cycle for heavy soil; HOT, for whites; WARM for colorfast and permanent press items; and COLD for colors. It also allows the customer to add an EXTRA WASH, EXTRA RINSE and/or DELICATE CYCLE—further enhancing the cycle selected.
“ProfitPlus gives customers what they want—more control over how their laundry is washed,” said Jorgensen. “The control can differentiate vended laundries from their competition, which helps attract and retain customers.”
ProfitPlus features graphic icons, accompanied by English and Spanish text, that clearly indicate operational instructions—making it simple to use. Customers simply load washers, select the cycle, select extra optional cycles, add detergent and insert a card or coins.
Meanwhile, using ProfitPlus, storeowners gain more control over the wash process than ever before. Highly programmable, the control helps storeowners lower water, natural gas and electricity usage—cutting operational costs. The ProfitPlus Control offers four individually modifiable programs that allow programmability of G-force extract, mechanical action, wash temperature (by degree), water levels and wash/rinse/extract time in each phase. The control’s flexibility allows multi-level vend pricing on the same machine depending on the wash program selected, time of day, or day of the week. Additionally, storeowners can now program variables within the EXTRA WASH, EXTRA RINSE and DELICATE CYCLE options, including the extra wash or rinse time in minutes, the addition of another bath, vend price and G-force extract speed.
The new ProfitPlus Control is now standard on all Continental ExpressWash freestanding washers, and MG- and M-Series hard-mount washers.
ExpressWash Washers—available in 20-, 30-, 40-, 55- and 90-pound capacities—allow customers to complete laundry in less than 60 minutes. They deliver unrivaled energy-efficiency, a simple-to-install freestanding design, and extract speeds reaching 381 G-force.
Continental MG- and M-Series Washers also deliver excellent energy-efficiency and higher extract speeds than most hard-mount washers on the market. MG-Series Washers —in 40- and 55-pound capacities—generate extract speeds up to 200 G-force, while M-Series Washers—in 25-, 40- and 55-pound capacities—generate extract speeds up to 141 G-force.
All Continental vended washer-extractors are backed by an industry leading 10/4/3-year ContinentalCare™ factory warranty.
