New Continental and Girbau Industrial brand products debut at Clean 2013

Oshkosh, WI—Continental Girbau Inc. (Continental) displayed its full line-up of vended, on-premise and industrial laundry products during “Clean 2013,” recently held in New Orleans. “We enjoyed great crowds and interest in products offered by Continental, Girbau Industrial and the Girbau Group,” said Joel Jorgensen, Continental vice president of sales. “We interfaced with business partners and new prospects from multiple market segments, and with laundries generating anywhere from 20 to 3,000 pounds of hourly production.”

For the first time, the show embraced a three-day format with extended daily hours, according to Jorgensen. Continental’s booth offered interactive kiosks, training opportunities and live demonstrations of on-premise and industrial product releases.

Several new Continental and Girbau Industrial (GI) branded products were debuted, including the ST-1300 vacuum loading dryer, DRF Spreader Feeder, FT-LITE triple-sort dry goods folder, FT-MAXI multi-sort dry goods folder, and the Compact 5-in-One ironing system – a feeder, ironer, folder, stacker and accumulator.

“The highlight of the show was the introduction of both the ST-1300 vacuum loading dryer and the Compact 5-in-One,” said Jorgensen. “These products are unique in the industry and fill specific needs within multiple markets. The ST-1300 is the first vacuum loading dryer on the market. It dries up to 140 pounds of laundry in less than 15 minutes and takes just one minute to load,” said Jorgensen. “The Compact 5-in-One is a do-it-all system that feeds, irons, folds, stacks and accummulates – all within a very small footprint.”

Also taking center stage was the new Continental Express Flatwork Ironer line, a team of waxless ironers capable of finishing up to 50 feet of linen per minute. Available in 13- and 20-inch roll diameters and up to 125-inch finishing widths, Express Flatwork Ironers boast an easily accessible lint drawer, wide, metallic feeding tray, reinforced lateral bearings, significantly enhanced processing speeds, and the option of atmospheric or radiant heating systems.

The booth also included the GI Continuous Batch Tunnel Washer, capable of processing 3,000 pounds of laundry per hour; E-Series Washer-Extractors in up to 255-pound capacities; open-pocket and stacked drying tumblers; and an array of ironers, feeders, folders and stackers.

All told, Continental’s booth boasted the company’s product-offering depth, according to Jorgensen. “We’ve grown considerably over the past five years and have expanded our reach into new industrial markets.”

The night before Clean 2013 opened, Continental held a presentation and reception that not only honored high-performing distributors, but foreshadowed the company’s future goals and direction. “The event drew friends and business partners together in excitement for the future,” said Jorgensen.
